The C Card Scheme
The C Card scheme is free and confidential.
If you are aged 13–25, you can use it to get free condoms and simple sexual health support.
How to get a C-Card
To join, go to a C Card outlet and have a short chat with a trained worker.
They will:
- tell you how the scheme works
- check it is right for you
- give you helpful sexual health information
If you want to join, they will give you a C-Card that you can use in many places across the UK.
Getting a C-Card
When you first go for a C-Card, a trained worker will chat to you about:
- how confidentiality works
- the law for under 16s
- the under 18 check (if needed)
- consent
- staying safe online
- safer sex
- STIs and testing
- contraception and emergency contraception
- the types of condoms available
- a quick condom demonstration
- where you can use a C Card in Newcastle
- where to get other sexual health help
- any questions you have
Everything is private, unless there is a concern about your safety. If that happens, they will explain what’s going on.
Why join
You will get support from trained staff who talk about sexual health every day.
They won’t be embarrassed - so you don’t need to be either.
