Our friendly team is here to support you to have healthy relationships and look after your sexual wellbeing.

You can come to our clinics in Newcastle for:

Everyone is welcome, with or without symptoms.

All our services are confidential. This means we will not share your details or tell anyone about your visit, whatever your age. If you’re under 16, your visit is still private. We won’t tell your parents or carers.

If we ever feel you or another person might be at risk, we may need to share information, but we’ll talk with you first.

All our services are:

  • Free - we do not charge for screening, testing, contraception or medication if you need treatment.
  • Confidential - no matter your age, even if you are under 16.
  • Judgement-free - Our friendly team is here to offer clear information, kind care and support, whatever your situation, without judgement.

Our team is made up of qualified, friendly and caring NHS staff, including:

  • Doctors
  • Nurses
  • Sexual health advisers
  • Healthcare assistants
  • Clinic administrators

We have both male and female staff. If you’d rather see a man or a woman, just let us know before your appointment. We’ll do our best to make it happen, but you may need to wait a little longer.

We can give clear advice on many sexual health conditions, treatments, and care. We can also contact partners who may have an STI – your information will be kept private.

We are a training organisation. This means you may sometimes see student doctors or nurses in our clinics. You may be asked if you are happy for a student to join your appointment. You can always say no.

All our services are confidential, no matter your age, even if you are under 16.

We will only share information if we believe you or someone else is at risk of harm. If this happens, we will talk to you about it first so you know what is going on.

We must share some basic information with the Department of Health. This does not include your name or any personal details. It only covers things like infections, treatments and types of contraception used.

Bringing someone with you

You are welcome to come with a partner or a friend. But for the first few minutes, we will ask to see you on your own. This is so we can ask a few private questions that you may not want to answer in front of someone else. We will explain the questions, and then you can choose if you want your partner or friend to join you for the rest of your appointment.

Asking for someone else to be in the room

You can also ask for a chaperone. A chaperone is a trained member of our staff who is there to support you during your consultation or examination.

We are here to help you feel safe, supported and respected at every step.
