Big congratulations to Amanda Holmes! 

We are so proud of our amazing colleague Amanda Holmes, Learning Disability Sexual Health Nurse Specialist.

Amanda has won a National Dignity in Care Award at the Great British Care Awards, and it could not be more deserved.

The judges praised Amanda for the way she cares for and supports people with learning disabilities and their families. They said she does a brilliant job as a nurse, carer and advocate, always treating people with dignity and respect.

Amanda helps people feel safe and supported when talking about sexual health. She explains things clearly and kindly, so people can understand their bodies and make informed choices. Her work helps people feel listened to, respected and confident.

The judges said Amanda breaks down barriers and makes sure everyone gets the care and support they need. They described her work as life‑changing and we couldn't agree more.

Amanda’s kindness, passion and commitment shine through every day, and this award shows the difference she makes.
